Effort to Ban All Hunting, Fishing, Trapping, and Ranching Defeated in Oregon, For Now

CSF is pleased to report that Oregon Initiative Petition 3 (IP-3) officially did not qualify for the 2024 ballot. CSF has been and will continue to be a leading voice against this misguided effort to ban all hunting, fishing, trapping, and ranching in Oregon.

 

And Now We Wait: Signature Deadline for Colorado Anti-Hunting Ballot Initiative Has Arrived

The deadline for Colorado anti-hunting groups to submit their signatures to qualify for the ballot was July 5th, and we are now waiting for the Colorado Secretary of State’s ruling on the quantity and validity of the signatures gathered.

 

Granite Stater’s Privacy Protected with Governor’s Signature

Last Friday, Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus Chair, Governor Chris Sununu signed New Hampshire HB 1186 – An Act Relative to Firearm Purchaser’s Privacy into law, protecting the privacy of Granite Staters and individuals shopping in New Hampshire.

CSF-Supported Land Conservation Legislation Signed into Law

As farms and forestlands are purchased, they are often subdivided and developed which leads to the loss of hunting and fishing access and fragmentation of fish and wildlife habitat. Incentives like state level tax credits for conservation easements, reduced fee title, and/or donated land for conservation purposes are all tools that states can use to conserve fish and wildlife habitat.
