Wildlife as Stakeholders? The Latest Debate before the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Commission

The sportsmen’s community in Washington State has supported WDFW’s conservation efforts since its inception. Unfortunately, with recent Commission appointments, the hunting and angling community has seen our input discounted. In fact, several on the Commission have frequently proposed naming wildlife (or “non-human life”) as stakeholders of the Commission. It is important that Washington’s sportsmen and women continue to share our voices in a respectful manner to ensure that our traditions and values are represented through Commission decisions and policies.

Episode 5 of the TSV Podcast is now streaming! NASCAR legend, owner of Richard Childress racing - and Chairman of the Board here at the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation - Richard Childress sits down with TSV host Fred Bird to talk about his lifelong mission of leaving the Great Outdoors better than he found it for his grandchildren, and how that journey led him to being so involved in activism and fighting for the future of our sporting lifestyles.

"There is no better way to help assure the strength of CSF and future opportunities for hunters and anglers."

NASCAR Hall of Famer and CSF Board Chairman Richard Childress joined the CSF Board of Directors to bring the same level of enthusiasm and dedication he brings to racing to ensuring the rights of hunters and anglers. Childress, an avid outdoorsman, is as passionate about giving back as he is about hunting and fishing. To keep supporting CSF well into the future, Mr. Childress became a CSF Heritage Fund Donor. Please follow this link to learn more about Mr. Childress' story and how you too can provide a voice for America's sportsmen and women via planned giving.

Our outdoor heritage needs YOU!  Get involved today so we can keep fighting for tomorrow.
