Rep. Wittman, CSC Member, Introduces Effort to Maintain Access for Sportsmen and Women

On Friday, January 27, Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) Member and past CSC Leader Rep. Rob Wittman (VA) introduced the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act in the House of Representatives. If enacted, this legislation (with over 30 cosponsors to date), will prohibit federal land management agencies from instituting restrictions on lead ammunition and tackle unless specific triggers are met. Maintaining access for sportsmen and women is a priority for CSF, and this legislation presents an opportunity for hunters and anglers to take part in shaping the regulations needed to create an inclusive, scientifically guided federal land management process.
