Friend, On November 5, 2024, you will be able to forge a future for our time-honored traditions by voting to enshrine the right to hunt and fish in the Florida State Constitution. _____________________________________ Right to hunt and fish amendments protect hunting, fishing, and trapping by acting as a preemptive safeguard against the anti-sportsmen agenda, recognizing an individual right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife. If Amendment Two passes, Florida will become the 24th state to enshrine the Right to Fish, Hunt, and Harvest Wildlife in their State Constitution! Amendment Two will protect our ability to get outdoors and do what we love most by amending the Florida State Constitution to include “Fishing, hunting, and the taking of fish and wildlife, including by the use of traditional methods, shall be preserved forever as a public right and preferred means of responsibly managing and controlling fish and wildlife. This section does not limit the authority granted to the Fish and Wildlife 23 Conservation Commission under Section 9 of Article IV.” |

This constitutional amendment will protect the outdoor traditions of thousands of sportsmen and women from efforts to limit or outright ban hunting and fishing practices. Anti-sportsmen organizations continually lead efforts to persuade the public to believe that hunting, fishing, and harvesting wildlife are a privilege, subject to emotionally driven public sentiments to alter policies and regulations, rather than science-based facts. This proactive measure ensures that our shared, time-honored sporting traditions are protected for generations to come.
